**BLUSH MED COLLECTS PLASTIC BOTTLE CAPS TO HELP ANIMALS IN NEED**

Phoenix, May 28, 2008 - Blush Med Spa, one of Gilbert's elite few privately owned eco-friendly spas, is encouraging the community to join with them to support animals in need. Blush Med Spa will be collecting plastic bottle caps from water bottles, laundry detergent, facial cleanser, shampoo and related products.

Plastic bottle caps cannot be processed by recycling machinery and are often cast into landfills. The caps are finding their way into oceans and rivers and are causing deaths of baby animals who attempt to ingest them and either choke or eventually die of malnutrition from the undigested plastic, according to Michael Braungart, a toxicology expert and engineering professor at Germanys University of Luneberg.

Lisa Allen, Director of Blush Med Spa states, "My hope is that we can save the innocent animals by preventing the plastic caps from getting into the ocean.". Blush Med Spa is urging the community to partner with them on this important effort. The spa has already made an effort to recycle all materials they use and has a passion for helping to raise awareness for other environmental causes and local charities.

Blush will be sending all donated bottle caps to Aveda for use in the limited edition Clove Shampoo bottles that will hit stores later this year. All participants will receive a 10% discount on products and services and be invited to attend their special "Hot, Hot, Hot, Charity Martini Party" on July 31st, 2008 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the Blush Med Spa location.

How To Get Involved:
Mail or bring in caps to Blush Med Spa at 2470 S. Val Vista Drive, Suite 104 Gilbert, AZ 85295. Or bring bottle caps to the "Hot, Hot, Hot, Charity Martini Party" on July 31st, 2008 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the Blush Med Spa location. Participants will receive a free spa gift and be treated to a night food, entertainment, martinis and the opportunity to "Buy A Date" as East Valley Firefighters will be auctioned off for a "special evening out" benefiting charity. The night will continue to sizzle as guests await the unveiling of the grand prize, a $2,000 Blush spa makeover and various spa services to support the children's programs of the East Valley Firefighters.

Blush Med Spa is owned by Lisa Allen and Kristy Thompson. They opened their doors in Gilbert in October 2007 and feature a wide range of non-surgical aesthetic enhancements and treatments.
